False suffering – Exposing the Church of the World

wolf-1341881_1280

Jesus foretold that suffering would happen to His followers and that the Church would need to endure a time of tribulation while on earth. Today suffering has lost its original biblical context and has been severely downgraded by the Church in the world today. Genuine suffering seems to be a problem in areas of the world where Christianity is less acceptable whereas in the ‘free’ areas of the world there is little or no suffering even though the claims are different.

The problem with the Church in the world is that it cannot withstand judgement spoken upon it and in return, it claims to be persecuted through suffering. Who are we to speak judgement? Well, the apostles often wrote to the churches to get their act together so why change now? As a believer, you have every right to highlight the problems of a church as long as you are doing it with the right motivation. The spirit behind everything you say counts. Are you speaking out of pride or concern? Out of being correct or conviction? Every time you make a decision in your life, you are making a judgment. This doesn’t give free reign to hurt, angry Christians to go on the attack, for God will judge all our hearts.

The Church responds from the pulpit, and it is the platform that is used to destroy God’s Kingdom work because accusations bring wrath and wrath is only appointed for Satan and his children. The duty of the Church is to deal with their issues so they can teach and house broken people but instead there is a cry that things are working against them. This, my friends, is not suffering for Christ but it is guilt and the fruits of it. I do understand that there are some terrible people on blogs calling out churches and leaders with the wrong attitude, but there are those who tell the Church exactly what the Bible says; And they don’t like it.

Here is a list of things that Churches feel they are being attacked about:

Doctrine

Leadership structure

Leadership style

Money

Church member figures

None of the above relates to the Faith directly, and that is how you know the difference between a Church which is genuinely being persecuted or crying wolf; Their faith and their works are boasted, but if the works aren’t miraculous then there is no true suffering involved. True suffering is a result of the miraculous happening in your life and Church. No miracles, no Jesus, no Jesus no suffering.

Take a firm look at your Church and line it up with the Bible. There is no perfect Church, but there has to be a Church which is fully invested in God’s will and Spirit.

Self Pity – Exposing the Church of the World

black-and-white-woman-girl-sitting

Broken leaders are far many today, and I recently told a friend that if you are a leader then expect to be broken and that isn’t always for good reasons. We do have a great comfort from being broken as leaders because whatever has been planned for evil, God will work for His plan and glory. Personally the more broken I have become, the more I have relied on Jesus and the stronger I have become in return. However once broken a state of self-pity does consume a leader, and that self-pity becomes a spirit which spreads like wildfire throughout churches and relationships. Two things happen next, and they are either healing or destruction. Let’s look at both areas below.
Destruction – This is what usually happens, unfortunately, and with self-pity, there seems to be two types of destruction which centre around infecting the leadership an causing them to compromise or the leadership infecting their congregation through their compromises. Self-pity tells you that you are owed something or that everything is always working against you, especially people, and this mindset removes Jesus, His blood and His victory from our lives and eventually gives the devil full reign over our lives. Living as a Christian is already a battle, but when we start adding to our plight with self-pity, we start to lose the battle. What are the fruits of this mindset? Leaders wiping out other leaders from the platform and tearing down of gifting and identities. Such a shame but it’s the truth.
Healing – Healing rarely happens today especially in mainstream circles, and there are many reasons for it. It is easy to focus on physical healing, but emotional healing is just as important because a sound mind is needed to live out the fullness of Christ through our bodies. What healing does is that it allows us to see God clearly for His will, purpose and plan and a lack of it keeps us blind and then we essentially end up leading the blind. If I could sum up Church today, that is precisely what I would say, ‘The blind leading the blind’.
There was a pastor who asked me for help as a consultant for his church and he asked me how he could make his church grow in numbers. I did attend the church, and it was quite a depressive atmosphere. My point being that the Church needs to deal with the spirits housed within its system before they can expect anything else from God. The Church is constantly under attack, but the problems are deepened by their own failings.  It’s time to get back into a place of obedience and abandon current and past traditions.
How did God see His Church and how does He see it now? Ask Him the question. Church isn’t about me and you, it is about Jesus and His coming.

Manipulation – Exposing the Church of the World

black-and-white-people-bar-men

The best psychologists can be found in Church leadership, and that is because they understand the power of emotion combined with the power of God’s Word. For many generations, elite non-believers have used God’s Word as a tool to control the earthly population, and it seems that in recent history Church leaders have understood the same psychology. God was very right when He spoke in His Word about the battle between His creation and Satan being in the mind for that is the location where there is either victory or loss.

The art of manipulation within Churches can be found through teachings on giving (primarily cash) and leadership positions which seem innocent on the face of it and in fact I would say that most leaders wouldn’t realise the corruption within such beliefs. The majority of leaders I have encountered and witnessed are innocent on the issues of leadership and giving, but the deeper they get into their positions, the more reliant they become on those two factors. Today’s Church needs tithings and followers in leadership positions to succeed and appear good, and the need for the HolySpirit is now secondary. Let’s look at the gift of giving and leadership in focus.

Giving – Mainstream Christian TV demand instant cash and they use scripture to insinuate that through the giving of finance God will reward and recompense with a greater blessing. I can see why they would say this but looking at God and His Word for who He is, this is far from the truth. The Church in the world needs extreme, continuous finance to fund their traditional events and outreaches which ultimately makes them look good but cripples the congregation. Get rich or try dying. God may not have called many to be rich, but he definitely didn’t call his believers to behave with a poverty spirit. If you are busy giving your money away then who will feed the poor and needy? Before you know, that is exactly what the Church of the world will make you.

Leadership – Some leaders end up in the same positions for 25 years because they seem to be loyal, others are in the position because they don’t want to let go and then there are those who are made to leave early because they do not fit the profile. Great leaders create more great leaders and are never threatened by the newcomers, but the poor leaders are the ones who are adamant that the newcomers or younger generation need to work their way up their ladder in one specific church or organisation. Church tradition requires leaders and their congregation to remain in that same place, and there is no valid scripture to prove or back this up. Staying in the same position brings a false unity and stability which from the outward makes everything look very pretty.

Church isn’t meant to be like this, but today the spirit housed within it cripples leaders and the work of God through the power of manipulation. As a body of believers, we have significant work to do to eradicate this behaviour before Jesus comes back. We have the authority to serve in power, and we must take this responsibility seriously with the fear of God within us. It’s time to give Church the credit God wants it to have.

Leaders, time to change the way you are and get back to the way God is. Purity.

Broken Leaders Hurt People – Exposing the Church of the World

tools-1209764_1280

While Churches aren’t wholly to blame for leaders becoming broken they certainly are the root of the issue only because the gates of hell are not meant to prevail over them. The Church has been empowered and mandated by Jesus to be His perfect representation and because of deep spiritual and emotional issues, the Church is failing in its duty. Now is the time to be thankful for God’s mercy and grace to His Church, for He is indeed slow to wrath and gentle in His ways. So what are the root issues that the Church are consumed in when it comes to breaking leaders? Below is a list of things that happen in most churches.

Experience – Today Churches move with past negative experiences and use them to help make decisions with future leaders. This is the wrong approach and removes the need for God to be involved in the decision-making processes. Experiences are good as they help you see things clearly, but they should never override the will of God.

Sin – The Church hasn’t dealt with corporate sin which in short means they are living out of God’s perfect will and handling the supernatural kingdom lifestyle with natural measures. These days Churches have board rooms to make corporate decisions and when it does get to the point where they are forced to make spiritual decisions they spend a few months in fasting to achieve this. Leaders can become broken in this type of environment as they will take these principles into their personal lives. Every moment is a divine moment in God’s Kingdom and today the Church is unaware of the season it is living in.

Hurt – Hurt people, hurt people. Unresolved issues that leaders carry breed atmospheres of jealousy, aggression, betrayal and mistrust. This has a detrimental effect on how potential or fresh leaders behave amongst team members, which often results in terrible atmospheres where innocent people continue to be hurt and abused. Hurt people look deep within and respond with pain.

Sunday’s – Sunday is now the universal church day or Sabbath and for some strange reason it is the day where a church is open for a service. Strange as I don’t see that in my Bible and since it has become a tradition combined with working hours in the world today, leaders become broken by living Sunday to Sunday. Yes, this actually happens and when other leaders who show greater commitment in the week, the Sunday leaders find ways to hurt them, some intentional and others not so much. The devil can be found in insecurity.

You shouldn’t be offended at reading this because the truth is always bitter but you should open your eyes and look to make a difference. Perhaps you need healing, or your church needs a clean up. You might even stop your church from getting into sin. I wish someone would take action.

He wants to make us white as snow. Come Lord Jesus come.

Broken Leaders – Exposing the Church of the World (Cont)

prison-1331203_1280

It is important for me to explain what the Church in the world is doing today and what you need to be looking out for. As these blogs start to uncover hidden, silenced mysteries you will gain understanding about yourself as a leader and perhaps you will work out if you are broken, or have been treated in such a way that has broken your hope in Church and Jesus. The two areas that cause today’s church to move and live within tradition rather than within the kingdom are compromise and false worship. Jesus was adamant that He wanted His followers to worship Him in Spirit and Truth, and He also insisted that faith in God should never be compromised. Below I explore the issue of compromise and worship.

Compromise – You may not think compromise is an issue but in fact, it is a subtle spiritual problem that all Christians go through. Jesus spoke about denying Him, and we would be foolish to limit His statements about denying He exists. Jesus was very clear when talking about compromise because He was talking directly about His commands and His expectation of His creation to keep them. Broken leaders are made to compromise their stance in Christ by the Church in the world today for the sake of tradition and not upsetting leadership. Today the Church is concerned about keeping the church full as numbers show a healthy sign of growth. I have noticed an unhealthy aggressive attitude and pursuit in keeping numbers high in Church, and this can only be achieved by asking congregations to compromise. Below I list the compromises that could potentially take place:

God’s unique calling on your life – Church life becomes consuming because overseers can’t see God’s will in your life

Prophetical Insight – You are told insight is only for specific leaders

Worship as a lifestyle – You must worship as the Church does, or it is not Biblical

Limiting leadership ability to Church positions – Severely defined positions without scope for growth

Career prospects outside the Church – You are told that things in the world are not important

False Worship – Jesus has called His followers to worship Him in Spirit and Truth and what that means is every decision we make must be led by God and done with the Truth of His Word at the front of your mind. This type of worship is a lifestyle and is unique to each and cannot be dictated by man and church infrastructures or tradition. Each unique person in Christ will Worship God according to the Truth of His Spirit in the way God has shown them; This of course must line up with God’s Word. Today Church causes followers of Christ to Worship God without the Spirit and with a compromised truth. Choirs, worship leaders often are dictated by a tradition of Church rather than the Spirit of God. Some may say they are led, and I believe that but God works with what you give Him. In that respect, He never imposes His authority because He requires full submission to His will to do that.

This causes followers of Christ to fall into sin and never completely execute the will of God over their lives which are a regular occurrence with many Christians. This breaks leaders.

Broken leaders end up leaving the faith and often become disillusioned with God and His ways, and the responsibility falls firmly at the feet of established leaders because we are products of our environment!
