They draw away from God – Belief is that God is judging them or angry with them

They stop engaging in relationship with Jesus – They need emotional feelings rather than Biblical comfort

They stop reading God’s Word – It doesn’t work for them anymore

They focus on serving rather than loving – Religious duty over loving relationship becomes prominant

They lean on their gifting – They prove their strength in Christ by performance

They feel alone – Abandonment, lack of sonship

They need people to make them feel better – Over reliance on human influence

They have no emotional balance – They refuse to heed God and rather submit to their flesh

They take their frustrations out on the people that care for them – Verbal diarrhoea and lashing out at those who try and help

They look to divide anything that is united – If they can’t have it, no one else should

They see everything negatively – Nothing right can come of any situation

They feel criticisms is being judgmental – They do not want to improve, rather they feel bullied

They do not like positive people – Positive people come across as fakers

They despise hope – Hope deferred makes the heart sick and there is pleasure in being sick

They pray good prayers rather than God prayers – Nominal Christianity comes into play here. Not your will be done, but my will be done.

They become jealous – Dissatisfaction is the root issue here

They envy people around them – Others seem to have a better life

They compare each others blessings – Others are favoured by God and they are missing out

They think everyone views them negatively – The me against the world mentality, they forget Jesus overcame

They desire what other people have – What God has given is not enough. Greed is envy!
