Broken Leaders Hurt People – Exposing the Church of the World
While Churches aren’t wholly to blame for leaders becoming broken they certainly are the root of the issue only because the gates of hell are not meant to prevail over them. The Church has been empowered and mandated by Jesus to be His perfect representation and because of deep spiritual and emotional issues, the Church is failing in its duty. Now is the time to be thankful for God’s mercy and grace to His Church, for He is indeed slow to wrath and gentle in His ways. So what are the root issues that the Church are consumed in when it comes to breaking leaders? Below is a list of things that happen in most churches.
Experience – Today Churches move with past negative experiences and use them to help make decisions with future leaders. This is the wrong approach and removes the need for God to be involved in the decision-making processes. Experiences are good as they help you see things clearly, but they should never override the will of God.
Sin – The Church hasn’t dealt with corporate sin which in short means they are living out of God’s perfect will and handling the supernatural kingdom lifestyle with natural measures. These days Churches have board rooms to make corporate decisions and when it does get to the point where they are forced to make spiritual decisions they spend a few months in fasting to achieve this. Leaders can become broken in this type of environment as they will take these principles into their personal lives. Every moment is a divine moment in God’s Kingdom and today the Church is unaware of the season it is living in.
Hurt – Hurt people, hurt people. Unresolved issues that leaders carry breed atmospheres of jealousy, aggression, betrayal and mistrust. This has a detrimental effect on how potential or fresh leaders behave amongst team members, which often results in terrible atmospheres where innocent people continue to be hurt and abused. Hurt people look deep within and respond with pain.
Sunday’s – Sunday is now the universal church day or Sabbath and for some strange reason it is the day where a church is open for a service. Strange as I don’t see that in my Bible and since it has become a tradition combined with working hours in the world today, leaders become broken by living Sunday to Sunday. Yes, this actually happens and when other leaders who show greater commitment in the week, the Sunday leaders find ways to hurt them, some intentional and others not so much. The devil can be found in insecurity.
You shouldn’t be offended at reading this because the truth is always bitter but you should open your eyes and look to make a difference. Perhaps you need healing, or your church needs a clean up. You might even stop your church from getting into sin. I wish someone would take action.
He wants to make us white as snow. Come Lord Jesus come.
